The excitement led many viewers to believe Lady Danbury along with her maid Coral plotted Lord Danbury's murder. However, according to PopSugar, there is no mention of any such plots in the series or the books.

It is unclear what took the life of Lord Danbury for real but Lady Danbury was surely thrilled to be free, additionally, the series pictured her as the murderer but did not give any context or concrete evidence to prove the claims.
